We’re hiring a Digital Strategist

Full-time, permanent, remote office

We’re hiring a Strategist to work alongside our team to create high-quality, voice-driven content for our clients. They will be responsible for developing digital strategy and drafting, editing, and producing digital content -- across all channels -- for their assigned clients. 

We are a remote office, with our headquarters based in Washington, D.C. Salary is $62,618 annually with a generous benefits package, including 100% employer-covered healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Develop and execute multi-channel fundraising strategy campaigns for clients, primarily through email and texting.

    Content Writing: Draft and edit email, advertising, and social media content that is timely, creative, and authentic.

    Production: Manage the production process for approved email content — staging, QA testing, segmenting — and building forms (donation pages, surveys, petitions) in relevant systems.

    Teamwork: Collaborate and brainstorm with teammates to develop new, creative ideas, solve challenges, and provide even better service to our clients.

    Project Management: Proactively build and manage content calendars to ensure content is drafted and delivered to the client on schedule.

    Staff Management: Manage associates and interns as our team grows.

    Reporting: Update and manage weekly reporting for assigned clients.

    Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years experience writing copy for primarily digital channels including email, social media, video, and/or websites.

  • Alignment with our firm’s mission: We work with progressive nonprofits and Democratic campaigns to deliver high-quality, voice-driven content strategy.

  • Strong writer with an ability to adapt to different client voices.

  • Experience with CRMs like EveryAction/NGP, ActionKit, and Action Network, as well as other online advocacy and fundraising platforms such as ActBlue, Mobile Commons, or website CMSs.

  • The ability to balance multiple projects with varying deadlines.

  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides), Slack, and Microsoft Office.

  • Interest and ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Experience with any or all of the following is preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with Monday.com and Box.com.

  • Familiarity with CSS, HTML, or Javascript.
