Finding a Campaign's Voice

Our OBJECTIVE

Josh Hicks launched his campaign for Congress in August of 2019. After a few months, his email program wasn’t capturing the unique, compelling voice of the candidate or bringing in much money for the campaign.

FOGLAMP was brought on board to develop an email program that could stand up to the strong voice of the candidate, build excitement for the campaign, and, of course, become a significant revenue source. 

OUR APPROACH

We approached this challenge by: 

  • Building voice- and message-driven content that reflected the compelling personality of the candidate.

  • Investing resources into re-engagement series, direct donate advertisements, and list swaps to grow the list size.

  • Building a collaborative relationship with the candidate, the consultant team, and the campaign staff to build a cross-channel strategy that did justice to the candidate.

OUR RESULTS

We increased fundraising performance by 72% in our first quarter, 100% from Q1 to Q2 (during a pandemic), 146% from Q2 to Q3, and another 20% in the final six weeks of the election.
